Institutional Development Plan
The Khongnangthaba University has multiple campuses located in various parts of the State, Manipur. These campuses serve different purposes and functions within the university’s overall academic and research programs:
1) Pangei for Administration Block in Imphal East District: This campus serves as the administrative hub of the university. It houses the university’s administrative offices and facilities such as the library and computer lab for students and faculty members to access academic resources and conduct research activities related to administrative studies and management sciences programs.
2) Khurai Campus for Demonstration Centre: This campus serves as a demonstration centre for various academic programs offered by the university. It provides students with practical exposure and hands-on training in various fields such as School of Social Science and the Humanities, School of Sciences, School of Management and School of Allied Health Science (AYUSH, Paramedical, Pharmacy and Nursing).
3) Ishingthembi Campus as Permanent Campus: It plans for houses of the university’s academic departments, classrooms, laboratories, and residential facilities for students and faculty members. The campus also has also plan for library, sports ground, computer lab, Medical colleges, sprot complex and other amenities to support academic and research activities.
4) Moreh-Kwatha as a Transit Point for International Trade and Commerce Studies, Act East Policy, South East Asia: This campus is located in the Moreh-Kwatha area of Tamenglong district on the India-Myanmar border. The campus offers programs related to international trade, commerce, and business studies, providing students with practical exposure and opportunities to engage with the region’s economic and commercial activities.
5) Jiribam Campus is plan for Horticulture, Agriculture, Fishery, Forestry, etc.: It will provide students with practical exposure and hands-on training in these fields through demonstration centres, laboratories, and other facilities.
Future Envision:
The University has submitted an application to the Indian Nursing Council (INC), an autonomous body under the Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare for the recognition as an Examination.
Similarly, our pursuit of excellence extends to the realm of pharmaceutical education. Khongnangthaba University has submitted an application as an Examination Body to the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
As we continue to construct our own buildings, the completion of the fourth floor will mark a significant milestone. Once this construction phase is finalised, Khongnangthaba University is set to apply for UGC 12(b) status and accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). These recognitions will not only underscore our commitment to academic excellence but also position us as a leading institution.
